Powder Room Makeover

So I've been wanting to makeover our powder room.  This is the bathroom that most guests use when visiting, and I'd like to change it to make it more our style but with more of an eclectic look.  I feel like the powder room is the place to let your hair down and have fun.  It's small so that it can easily be re-painted and the accessories can be changed out without costing a fortune.

For now, I'd like to go with a really dark color - perhaps a navy? Currently, our vanity is a dark ornate wood with a bronzed mirror above it.  I'd like to change out the vanity for something with clean lines and that is lighter.  The mirror shown here is pretty and is from Wisteria, but I've also had my eye on this French Gilt Mirror also from Wisteria.  I'd like to add in some fun art or accessories, or maybe do some really old black and white family pictures with gold frames.  The lighting is currently the typical 3 light fixture over the mirror, but I'd like to get rid of that in exchange for a jug lantern similar to this one shown below.  Ohhh I'm getting excited!  This will definitely be my summer project!

  5. Love all of your picks! It's exciting to start redecorating!

Oh you had about the wear time of the Bare Minerals The Nude Beach palette. I think it's excellent! It stays all day but I always wear a primer. I love the Urban Decay.

  6. I like all of your ideas for your powder room. My daughter bought that same deer head with the gold antlers for her apartment and I love it. I'm glad I stumbled across your blog. Have a great day... :)

  7. What lovely inspirations you've chosen! I particularly like the mirror that you chose. Just remember to match the colors well. But I'm sure that whatever colors and designs you decide on using, your project will yield beautiful results. Good luck!
